Gift Helper("we", "our") helps you track important dates and receive gift suggestions. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data we collect

• Account information: email address and display name
• People you add: names, relationships, interests, and notes
• Events: birthdays and anniversaries you store
• Usage: gift generation requests (for rate limiting)
• Billing: Stripe customer ID and subscription status if you upgrade to Pro

How we use your data

• To show your dashboard and upcoming events
• To send a verification email when you sign up
• To send email reminders 4, 2, and 1 week before your events
• To generate AI gift suggestions and email copy via Groq

Third-party services

We use Supabase (hosting and database), Groq (AI gift suggestions and emails), our self-hosted mail server at mail.gifthelper.co.uk (email delivery), Stripe (subscription billing), and our application host. Payment details are handled by Stripe — we do not store card numbers.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us. You can adjust email reminder preferences in Settings.
